Craniosacral therapy drops you into stillness where the mind goes calm and clear and the body processes any undigested life experience. Over a period of time you can expect deep tension to release from within your system and to discover a calm, peaceful interconnected feeling inside and around you.
Craniosacral therapy is a hands-on healing technique that uses a light touch to sense the membranes and movement of the fluids of the central nervous system. Relieving tension in the central nervous system increases feelings of well-being, can reduce pain and improve general health an immunity.
Craniosacral therapy is a gentle treatment that may provide relief from a variety of symptoms including headaches, neck pain and the side effects of other medical treatments. The focus of craniosacral therapy is a gentle placement of hands to assist release of the body’s connective tissue, or fascia, which forms a body-wide connective network. Craniosacral therapy is thought to improve efficiency of biological processes through boosting inherent self-regulation, self-correction and self-healing. I first became aware of craniosacral therapy in 2010 when my eldest son was 3 months old. Following his premature birth and a traumatic period spent on life-support, I was keen to explore alternative therapies to help improve his disturbed sleep and general health. The change in him after just one treatment was simply astounding, and he kept improving after subsequent sessions.
I then decided I had to experience the therapy for myself and was overwhelmed by the positive effect it had on my life. So much so that I then trained to be a Craniosacral Therapist soon after. I am passionate about the benefits of craniosacral therapy because I have personally experienced the positive transformation it has had on myself and my whole family.
